Public Pier

Oak Creek

Try the pier at Oak Creek - I used to take my kids there before I got a boat. It is near the Newcomb Post Office - on the road to St. Michaels from Easton. It is about 5 miles before you get to St. Michaels, on the left. You can't really see the pier from the road, get off at the Post Office and the signs for the Public Ramp and turn left. I used to get a dozen or two there when they were running. Very pretty spot to spend a day with kids.Good luck!TBirdCrabber

Hey all before I had my boat we used to go to this little pier under the first bridge going toward Tilgman Island the creek was called Oak Creek. Going towards Tilghman from Easton it is on the left hand side. The pier is only about 40 feet long but we used to use handlines and traps there and caught many a bushell. Check it out .

휴가 동안 들러보았습니다. 아이들이랑 게를 좀 잡아보려구요. 그런데 일단 피어가 아이들과 가기는 안전해 보이지 않았습니다. 난간도 없고, 수심도 깊어 보이고, 특히 피어가 좀 높아 수면과의 단차가 좀 있어서 Handline으로 게를 잡기는 어려워 보이더군요. 한적해서 아이들이 좀 크고 트랩을 쓴다면 좋은 곳이겠지만 아니라면 그리 추천해 드릴만한 곳이 아니었습니다. (비추천)
